WANTED : Senior PHP, Java, C Developers

Peak Telecom is a Danish Internet Telephony Service Provider ( ITSP ) with over 15 years of experience in telecommunications. The company has its global customers using its VoIP platform for international telecommunications. It is built over OpenSIPs and Asterisk with additional code that brings call metering, provisioning, billing, monitoring etc into a  single system. The platform extends its telecom service to mobile users through custom built SIP applications for Android, Symbian, iPhone etc.

The company intends to bring in instant messaging, presence notification, video conferencing etc to its platform. This calls in for a major revamp of the server components and building SIP client applications for multiple desktop OS. The company is considering Kamailio ( previously OpenSER ) for its ability to handle presence notification, instant messaging, extensible APIs, SNMP support and a few other features that is not available on the current configuration. SIP-Communicator and QuteCom, are considered as a base platform for building a cross platform SIP client. The project is evolving through a series of discussions with industry experts and Peak Telecom's technology consultants.

The company is looking forward to build a development team in Kochi who would take up this task and develop the platform. Developers who can code in PHP and Java with skills in making complex queries on the MySQL database are WANTED to redo the billing and reporting system. Hardcore C / Java programmers who has expertise in desktop application development are WANTED to customize SIP-communicator or QuteCom to support additional features that the product demands. Programmers with a passion for UI design and expertise in JavaScript and AJAX are WANTED for developing portals for customers, resellers and platform administrators.

Please spread the word so that this message reaches the right candidates before the end of this month. The project should commence at least by the 1st of September and hence, the team has to be in place by next week. Developers who are interested in being a part of this project can send their resume to Mr. Claus Futtrup ( cf@peaktelecom.com ).
