Altair is now hiring Software Engineer for their Enterprise Computing team to work on their High Performance Computing (HPC) product suite PBS Works (www.pbsworks.com). PBS Works product suite is trusted by 3000+ clients all over the world and some of the clients are listed below:
- Government organizations like NASA®, Argonne National Labs, Pittsburg Supercomputing Center to run their mission critical computing clusters.

Title: PBS Works System Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
PBS Works Software Engineer are part of the Corporate Support team and support PBS Works deployment, customization, training and support the application engineers in the region assigned.
* Support Regional Teams
* Provide 2nd level support and become the conduit between the region and the
engineering organization
* The countries/territories of the region will escalate customer requests/issues to regional specialist, and he/she will need to work the teams to address the needs.
* Provide the countries/territories the training and knowledge required to effectively use
the products.
* Lead Technical Deployment of Product Strategies & Campaigns, in region
* Educate/Train region and strategic customers on products and their features.
* Collaborate with Business and Marketing to accurately describe the deliverables of a product
* Provide input on the product direction
* Synchronize efforts between the countries tech team, under regional projects
* Synchronize efforts with the other regional PBS specialist, under global projects
* Contribute to Special Projects
* Apply experience and skill set to provide a viable solution the a strategic customer's
request
* Example of special projects: PBS MCAE, e-Render, e-BioChem, Green Provisioning enhancements, application definitions, hooks... open to other suggestions
Requirements:
* 2-4 years of commercial Product development/customization/deployment experience preferably in HPC space.
* Experience in debugging and resolving issues, customizing and deploying web applications at customer sites.
* Excellent communication skills and extensive experience customer interaction and customer trainings.
* Knowledge of Java, J2EE, Google Web Toolkit, Web services/SOA, AJAX, C, and UNIX will be a plus.
* Bachelors or Master"s degree in IT/Comp Science or related field.
* Strong analytical and debugging skills
