We are ramping up our technology team in Bangalore and looking to fill the
following positions:
*Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• Write maintainable, unit-tested code to solve business problems Ensuring sanity and purity of code ensuring adequate application of software engineering disciplines
• Implement object-oriented models and design data structures for newsoftware projects
• Implement business logic and data models with suitable class design
• Work on a cross-functional team, collaborating with peers on all elementsof the development process
• Follow industry coding standards
• Create appropriate technical documentation
• Good Knowledge of PHP 5 on Apache & MySQLand front end code in HTML, CSS,Ajax,XML,Java script, Common APIs,SVN). Working Knowledge of PHP framework especially codeigniter is an added advantage.
Designing and implementing a scalable data model ensuring backward compatibility of features at all times
• Familiarity with common open source PHP apps.
Experience:
- Experience in E-commerce and payment gateway integrations
- Hands on experience in open-source PHP MVC frameworks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2-3 years of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starters, capable of operating with minimal supervision to solve problems where requirements/specifications/standards may be unclear
*Engineering Manager/Architect
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely product management team to scope and spec requirements
- Define product roadmap and release prioritizing market requirements and engineering requirements
- Manage internal and 3rd party engineering teams to deliver releaes.
- Provide oversight to Design and implementation of e-commerce portal
- Providing thought leadership and leverage software tools/available in the public domain to enable rapid addition of features
- Ensuring sanity and purity of code ensuring adequate application of software engineering disciplines
- Coding in PHP on Apache & MySQLand front end code in HTML, CSS and Javascript (AJAX). Designing and implementing a scalable data model ensuring backward compatibility of features at all times.
- Implementing new features and optimizing existing ones from controllerlevel to UI
- Pro-actively analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources
Experience:
- Experience in large-scale web applications using MVC architecture and open web technologies
- Extensive experience in building large-scale server applications
- Experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics would be a plus
- Disciplined approach to software development, testing and quality assurance
- Experience in E-commerce and payment gateway integrations
- Hands on experience in open-source PHP MVC frameworks.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field with 7-10 years of experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starters, capable of operating with minimal supervision to solve problems where requirements/specifications/standards may be unclear
- Project Management skills including effort estimation, schedule and tracking skills are mandatory
- Ability to lead, manage and motivate teams to deliver in an agile and customer focused environment
