Vacancies in National Brain Research Centre, Gurgaon for M.V.Sc / MBA / Computer Science Graduate candidates

Name of the Government Organization: National Brain Research Centre

National Brain Research Centre (NBRC), Manesar, is the apex co-ordinating body for research in Neuroscience with the objective of undertaking basic research towards understanding brain structure and function in health and disease. The centre is located at Manesar, Haryana, 50 km from New Delhi. NBRC would like to recruit suitable persons for the following positions:

Job Number: 01
Job Designation: Veterinarian
Pay Scale: 15,600-39,100/- (Grade pay 5,400/-)
Educational Qualification:
M.V.Sc. with 5 years experience.
Age Limit: 35 years as on last date of the application.
Method of recruitment: Direct recruitment
Duties: To Supervise day to day monitoring of health breading, sanitary and nutritional requirements of laboratory animals such as rats, mice, rabbits and monkeys. Persons should have requisite knowledge on care and ethical issues in handling animals besides health care and maintenance of laboratory animals.
Desirable: Experience in administration of a modern animal house with small animals and primates. Demonstrated Experience in maintaining inbred and transgenic mouse lines under pathogen free conditions would be an advantage.

Job Designation: Administrative Officer (Acad.)
Pay Scale: 15,600-39,100/- (Grade pay 5,400/-)
Educational Qualification:
Any graduate level degree with consistently good academic record. Persons having 5 years of working experience in Administration or Management in an Academic / Research / Scientific Institution.
Age Limit: 35 years as on last date of the application.
Desirable:
Persons having qualification of MBA or Post Graduation will be preferred. Persons with experience of 5 years in a supervisory capacity in grade of PB-2 i.e., Rs. 9,300-34,800/- with a grade pay of Rs. 4,600/- or equivalent with experience in academic administration such as conduct of examinations, maintenance of student's records etc. in Government / Semi-Government research organizations / recognized University etc. or a demonstrated ability of administering and managing all aspects of scientific projects including logistical and regulatory aspects in an academic or research Institute with proficiency in IT based Management. He/she should have the ability to handle the section independently.

Job Designation: Computer Operator / Assistant Information Technologist (Core)
Pay Scale: 5200-20,200/- (Grade pay 2800/-)
Educational Qualification:
1. Graduate in Computer Science/ Computer application/ Information Technology/ Electronics from a recognized University OR Graduate in Science with at least 55% marks in the qualifying degree. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in Physics/ Mathematics/ Computer Science with one-year government recognized diploma in computer science/ computer application/ application technology.
2. Good knowledge of computer hardware/ Programming/ Networking.
3. Candidates with knowledge of scientific terms and experience working in scientific organizations will be given preference.
4. One year relevant experience after acquiring minimum qualification.
Age Limit: 30 years as on last date of the application.
Desirable: The knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, Programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Matlab, PERL, shell programming and other softwares, website development and management/ Networking (LAN/WAN Troubleshooting), Computer hardware installation and troubleshooting.

General Conditions:
1. The appointments for posts having post code 001 to 003 are core posts will be made initially on contract for a period of 5 years with a probation period of 1 year, which may be extended. The Regularisation of the contract position in subject to a positive review on completion of 4 years further continuation of appointment will depend on the performance during this period.
2. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
3. Competent authority in exceptional cases may relax requirements of age/ educational qualification/ experience.
4. The candidates may be considered for higher/ lower grade depending on their profile.
5. The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling, and number of vacancies may vary.
6.Advertisement No., Name of the post and Post Code applied for should be clearly mentioned on the Envelope and on the Application Form, failing which the application will not be considered. Applications received after the last date, without proper desired Demand Draft, without attested copies of testimonials and certificates etc. /incomplete applications may be rejected.
7.Out-station candidates called for interview shall be paid 2nd class sleeper train fare on production of documentary evidence.
8.The applicants in Government/Semi-government organizations/ public sector undertaking autonomous organizations must send their applications "Through Proper Channel". The applications received without the recommendations of the employers will not be considered.
9.Merely fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualification and experience will not vest any right on a candidate for being called for interview. Since it may not be possible to call all the candidates for interview, the applications will be short listed and the decision of the duly constituted Screening Committee will be final. The Centre will not entertain any correspondence in this respect and interim enquiries will not be attended to.
10.Applications received after due date may not be considered.
11.Candidate may specify the category they belong to and attach documentary proof in case they belong to OBC/SC/ST/PH/Ex-serviceman category. The reservation rules/ guidelines of the Govt. of India will be applicable. The Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PH/ applicants as per the rules / guidelines of the Government of India.
12.Application should be complete in all respects and any incomplete application will be rejected summarily.
13.The job contract will be regulated as per the terms of the project and the prevailing rules and procedure followed at NBRC at the time being.
14.No communication will be entertained in this regard.
