Job Description
Ø Key Responsibilities
• Close interaction with client and end-user
• Analyze and Understand end-user requirements
• Provide Technical Solutions
• Provide high level and detail level design
• Designing templates for jobs
• Develop Source, Lookup, Transformer and Load jobs
• Test case preparation
• Conduct unit and integration testing
• Responsible for Module Delivery
• Onshore – Offshore Team co-ordination
Ø Typical Role Definition
- Ability to analyze and understand client/end-user requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Will be responsible for interaction with Client and Business users.
- Should be capable of understanding the existing technical architecture and provide solutions accordingly. Should be multi-skilled to work with multiple different systems in the architecture.
- Should have prior experience in developing End to End BI Systems. Should have good communication skills. Should have good experience in working in onshore/offshore model.
Ø Technical Skills
• Hands-on experience on any of the ETL systems like IBM Datastage, Informatica PowerCenter, Ab Initio, Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), SAS ETL Studio, Business Objects Data Integrator and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience on various OLAP systems developed by vendors like Microsoft, Oracle (Hyperion, Essbase), IBM (Cognos, Applix), SAP (Business Objects, Cartesis) and MicroStrategy.
• Strong experience in BI Tools like Oracle Enterprise BI Server, Oracle Hyperion System, SAP Business Objects Enterprise, SAP NetWeaver BI, SAP Enterprise BI server, Microsoft SSAS, Microsoft SSRS, IBM Cognos, Qlikview, MicroStrategy and Actuate
• Data – Model Design.
• Strong in Oracle and PL/SQL.
