Job Description
· Perform analysis and provide appropriate solutions in order to assist Rates businesses in addressing rapid business developments
· Develop and implement components on FO Trading system and related interfaces.
· Utilize business and technical knowledge to provide 2nd level support and enhancement on trading system.
· Contribute to and work closely with teams based in India, Paris, London and New York, ensuring that implementations align with global strategy and meet Asian requirements
· Maintain good working relationships with relevant business areas and other IT teams across the Group
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:
· University graduate with a degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
· Minimum of six years’ IT experience within the investment banking business or a related field
· Solid experience with full project lifecycles, from initiation through to implementation
· Good understanding of the derivatives business workflow from front to back
· Hands-on technical experience in:
o database (Sybase/Oracle) application development using SQL, data modelling and design
o development on Windows and Unix using C/C++, script languages and Perl
· Experience and knowledge of Fixed Income products, particularly interest rate derivatives
· Solid knowledge or working experience in SUMMIT application, including API, P&L and risk reporting and accounting, would be advantageous
· Strong reasoning and analytical skills with a good level of attention to detail
· Highly organized mindset with the ability to work under pressure and operate in a multi-functional, matrix environment
· Effective time management and prioritisation skills
· Prepared to engage with other IT teams and negotiate for resources and schedules
· Good communication and interpersonal skills with a high standard of written and verbal English
