Job Description
Mail Server & Web Server Skills
- Implement, Configure, Manage & Support Linux based mail & web server infrastructure in hosting environment.
- Linux administration with CentOS / Red Hat Enterprise or Suse.
- Analyze and fine tune the performance of the Mail servers running on Linux.
- Extensive knowledge of Mail servers based on Postfix, Dovecot, Sendmail, Squirrelmail/Roundcube.
- Good understanding in directory services like LDAP. Working knowledge on OpenLDAP.
- Experience with messaging Content filter software, Anti virus, virus outbreak, anti -spam tools and products.
- In depth knowledge in databases like MySQL or any other related products.
- Set up and maintain Linux based web servers in hosting environment.
- Good understanding in various open source based solutions.
- Strong understanding of Network, DNS, DHCP, WINS and other internet protocols.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge and experience on Windows based mail servers like Microsoft Exchange server will be an added advantage.
- RHCE certified candidates will be given preferrence
Programming Skills
- Python or PERL or shell scripting including automation of Systems Administration tasks.
- PHP programming knowledge.
- Experience in Web development and programming
Networking
- Network based backup implementation and management. Daily backup and restore.
- Proactively monitor the servers and ensure maximum server and application uptime.
- Knowledge of SAN, SCSI, NAS and related hardware systems.
