About AMCC India:

AMCC has commenced its India Design Center in Dec 2008 with a view to tap the ample talent in the VLSI domain and for embedded software development and QA. Based in Kalyaninagar, Pune, the state of the art facility would house multiple teams for SOC RTL design and verification, high speed board design, validation, embedded software development and QA of the same. In near future, it would be the largest development center outside of USA.

Job Description

Position: Analog IC Design-Engineer/Senior Engineer

Location: Pune

Primary Responsibility:

· Depending on experience and position, takes a leading role in the development of complex analog circuits and systems needed for completion of the next generation of designs.

· Architects and designs highly complex circuits

· Design engineers would be expected to do layout design for highly complex high speed analog circuits

· Depending on experience and position, candidate would be expected to come up with new approaches and architectures and patent the same for giving us significant advantage over competition and barrier to entry.

· Responsible for on time delivery and quality of analog blocks.

· Active involvement in problem solving and implementing opportunities for improvement.

· Interactions with management normally involve communicating, updating or informing regarding technical and/or personnel issues and may extend to customer meetings for lead level positions.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, Ph. D. preferred. Candidates from reputed institutes like IITs, RECs preferred.

Experience in the analog design of PHY chips for high-speed / high performance communication applications is a plus

Have done the design of analog blocks used in phy chips for high-speed communications: equalizers, PLLs, CDRs, high speed drivers, transmit drivers, MUX / DEMUX, ADC, DAC, equalizers.

Have done the design of analog blocks in high speed interfaces and PHY’s like DDR2, DDR3, PCI express gen 2 and gen 3 PHY’s, SATA, SAS6G, XAUI/RXAUI/ XFI transceivers.

Familiarity with the latest Analog design tools.

Past history of being named as an inventor on circuit/architectural patents is a plus.

Silicon proven experience is a plus.

An architect and leader on either the whole PHY or complex big analog blocks, for multiple chips, highly preferred for senior positions.
