Job Description

Work Profile:

Looking for Windows Systems Engineer/Sr.Systems Engineer

Experience: 1 - 4 yrs

Job Location: Mumbai

Designation/Role: Windows Systems Engineer/Sr.Systems Engineer

Qualification: Any graduate or Diploma holder, MCSA/MCSE preferred but not mandatory

Desired Profile:

Perform ticket triage for Break/Fix and Incidents. Triage activities include:

Ticket enters queue and is scrubbed for:

§ Ticket type, Inc/MAC, and is coded accordingly

§ Details; such as work window, special instructions, number/type of device(s) or cables

§ Ensure all information necessary to start work is present

§ Ticket is not a duplicate – duplicates are immediately coded and routed back to the sender

§ Determine whether ticket is workable, code accordingly

§ If ticket is not workable, follow escalation process for ticket type

§ Add ticket title information, add any necessary coding or diaries

* Provide quality operational support to the – Wintel server, including the following task responsibilities:
o Add OS level accounts
o Perform server updates
o IPAK/Hotfix/Security Patch processes
o Power down servers
o Reboot servers
o Create VIP in Microsoft iAdmin tool
o Perform server renames
o Perform Wintel server rebuilds
o Software configuration per customer requests
o Server OS upgrades
* Regular project reporting on weekly status, issues and concerns.
* Escalation of any issues, logging and tracking them to closure.
* Resolution of any issues through mutual discussion and agreement.

Experience and Skill set:

* Working knowledge of Microsoft environment.
* Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, HTTP, and SSL deployments.
* Basic understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, IPX, TCP/IP, etc) and VPNs.
* Basic understanding of "netline" command parameter
* Basic understanding of application related services (ODBC, TNS, TFP, etc...)
* General understanding of Microsoft clustering
* Working knowledge of "Vmware" preferred

- Experience on ticketing tools desirable.

- Communication skills have to be good, especially written

- Strong ability to understand & follow documented processes.

- Flexibility to work 24/7 in shifts.
